FOCUS ON DIGITAL CINEMA Clairmont Camera	NORTH HOLLYWOOD, California – Clairmont Camera, one of the largest motion picture rental companies in the nation, is making the jump into 24P high-definition equipment, by offering Fujinon HDTV Cine Style prime lenses and HDTV Cine Style zoom lenses among its stable of equipment. Clairmont bought three sets of eight HD Cine Style Prime lenses, and three of the HA10x5B-10 zoom lenses, which the film community refers to as the 5-50mm zoom lens.
FOCUS ON HD SWTV Equips New Dual-Format Mobile Truck with 13 Fujinon High-Def Lenses	PHOENIX, ARIZONA — Core Digital Technologies, Inc. and SWTV Production Services Inc., one of the nation’s leading digital mobile production companies and a Fujinon customer since 1989, has placed 13 Fujinon HDTV lenses in its new hybrid HD/SDI production trucks for CBS College Football. Built in conjunction with specifications for CBS Sports Network requests for high definition production, the production truck has already been employed for two Southeast College (SEC) football games for the network this fall. And it will be used for all SEC coverage this year.
PRODUCT FOCUS How to Select a Lens	Videographers are truly blessed today with a wide variety of very good cameras from many manufacturers. These cameras vary greatly in price and performance but generally all will make good pictures under ideal conditions. The most common method of selecting a camera package is to first determine which camera is most suitable for the job that falls within a certain budget. On the surface, this appears to be sound reasoning. What is often forgotten, however, is the lens and this can be, and often is, a major mistake.
