I shoot 35mm Academy and Super 16mm film formats. Are there factors to use to determine what focal length HDTV (16:9) lens will give me a comparable horizontal angle of view?

To determine the approximate focal length for 35mm Academy use 0.404 and for Super 16 use 0.756. A 30mm Academy format lens would would yield approximately the same horizontal field of view as a 12mm HDTV (16:9)lens (30 X 0.404=12.12)
